A Tribute to Rawhide and its Trail blazing Spirit

From before the West was tamed, when dust, tumble weeds, buffalo herds, and miles of  miles of open range ruled the land, Rawhide thundered onto TV screens and carved its place in legend.

Week after week, we rode alongside Gil Favor the wise and steady trail boss, whose grit and integrity kept the herd - and his men - on course. By his side, the fiery Rowdy Yates, played by rising star Clint Eastwood, brought heart, heat, and a rebel spark to the long trail ahead.

Together with royal drovers, the quiet  strength of Pete Nolan, the scout, and Tucumcari born Paul Brinegar who played Wishbone, the gruff but lovable chuckwagon cook, they crossed rivers, plains and miles of rough country - not just moving cattle, but facing moral trials, making tough calls, living by a code that ran deeper than any brand.

Rawhide wasn't just a Western, it was a story of  brotherhood, resilience, and the long journey towards doing what's right, no matter how rough the ride.

So here's to the men of the trail, the stories in the saddle, and the show that made us tip our hat to the West. We're especially proud of the fact that much of our scenery made it into the saga, and brought Tucumcari, NM into contact with a piece of Hollywood legend.

Keep rollin' Rawhide. You'll always ride tall in our memories!
